Things in the Dane House

This is from The Animal Kingdom in Disney. We had such a great time and the weather was between 85 and 92 everyday. The kids were so surprised when we got to the airport, I can't believe that we were able to keep it a secret till we left.

Sam looking for is eggs at Our family Easter egg hunt. All the kids love it and the older kids play it up for the younger ones.

The kids love going to powder mill park and feeding the fish at the local hatchery. This is the first visit this season and all the kids can't wait to go back.

Josh turned the big 10 at the end of April. I can't believe that time has gone by so fast.

Josh and my brother checking out the new science kit that he got for his birthday. I think my brother enjoyed it a little more then Josh. It was great to see them having fun together.

Our new car after a long decision we decided that we needed something with more room and that could hold more than 5 people. The kids love it and it rides smooth. My husband is in glory no more fighting on the way to grandma's.

It is 10:30pm

Well last evening went like this
Sam decided that he was not tired. Sam went to bed at his normal time around 8pm, no peep from him. Andrew went up to bed around 905 and conversation occurred. I sat on the couch and said wonder what Josh is saying to him. 15 Min's later Andrew is standing in front of me telling me that Sam was wide awake.(not normal) Sent Andrew back up stairs told him not to talk with Sam. I continued to watch my movie with them as my back round noise at 955 went upstairs moved Andrew to my room. Quit was in the air. At 1020 I decided I would go check, Andrew was sound asleep and the light was on in Sam room I open the door to Sam doing a puzzle.(I wanted to scream OMG)
However (this is what came from me)I said Sam it is time to to shut the light off and close your eyes. Sam-I am staying up all night and watch you.
M- Sam that is really sweet but I am taking the light. Kissed him and left
S- Don't shut the door I was taking to you.

I walked away and he came to the door screaming for Chris. He came tucked him back in waved his magic and 11:15 he was asleep. Thank the lord because my patience were gone.

This morning I woke him at 8 because I need to take my mom to the doctors. He was great all day. This evening A and S were down stairs playing. A said he was just talking to him and the next thing S was asleep on the floor. (7:45pm)

I am just questioning how that even happened last evening.

Why Why Why

My morning started very busy with children not listening, lots of cleaning and then the regular norm. This morning by far was one of the worst that we have had in awhile. Josh was so bad that he lost TV and games for 2 days. Josh then asked why he lost everything as he left for school? I told him to go and think about it then tell me about it when he comes home from school. 345 came the school bus lets off and and Josh asked why for the 2ND time and tells me he was not that bad. Then again after I explained that we will not have disrespectfulness at our house he asked WHY. So I decided that I was done and told him that tonight he was going to bed at 815. No more whys after that. (guess he got that point)

Then the hairdresser (a new one to add) was washing my hair and asked me if I worked with Dr ** I said yep and she said that she was just in. I thought great I hate her hair and the color. (I am in big trouble) I asked myself why did I want a new hairdresser, why was I getting my hair cut short. I was glad that I got it chopped, love the new cut and decided I would go back to her.

Tonight at the dinner table each of the boys all started in with the why questions. I thought how many times in day can one person hear that word or say it. I have decided that I can't hear that word anymore today.

How much can he eat

After seeing Dr A a couple of weeks ago and Andrew loosing weight, I know that I should be happy about Andrew wanting to eat. However for the 3rd time in less than a week he has woke me up between 2:30 and 3:30 in the morning. Thank god he is very sweet and rubs my head but when you are sleeping nothing is nice not even his voice. I asked him to eat a granola bar and he was very quick to say that he did. So I told him to go down stairs to get some breakfast he pleaded with me to go with him so I did. I guess no mater how old they are you always give in. I told my hubby that we need to fix this because it is like having a infant again.

Then after finally putting him back to bed and just drifting back to sleep I thought that I had someone singing outside the window at 405am. so I got up looked (nope no one there. must be dreaming). Crawled back to bed start drifting off hear it again and went and stood in the hall thinking I am really crazy. Nope not the case-Then this nice sweet voice of Andrew is singing the song that is playing on his IPod.

That is not were it ends at 630am when I was on the way out the door for work Andrew was down stairs in the kitchen yep you guessed it asking to eat.

Spring seems so far away. I keep dreaming of the windows being open and the children laughing and screaming outside. I can't stand the look of the brown snow-it just likes someone took a big crap. I love snow and playing in it however this seems like a long long winter. I am done cleaning the salt and mud off the floor with the snow pants and jacket everywhere. Sam keeps refusing to wear a jacket and so I have decided that I just don't care anymore.

I think the only thing that has gotten me through is working out at the YMCA. I have to say that I have done very good with Chris having more surgery but this time it is kicking my ass. It has been good times at my house and that the boys all have been trying to please mommy because they are done with me nagging and my new rule is that if it is not picked up it is gone for good.

I have decided that I need to go on vacation without anyone from my house after my mom is feeling better so I am looking for a great place so please let me know if you think of any.

The Holiday times

I just love watching the kids at the holidays. They just love everything. We put up our Christmas tree this week and decorated the house. The giggles and excitement was in the air. I really wanted clear lights but the boys and Chris wanted multi lights (so yep I lost . ) The advent calenders began and they are so excited to see what they are getting. On Friday we went to the tree lighting in town and the kids had a blast. Josh went to a birthday party sleepover and decided that he was OK not going. I felt kind of hurt because he was really not into it but realized he is getting older. I felt much better Sat. morning when he asked where I could take him to have his photo taken with Santa. Oh yes and the fun didn't stop here we were getting ready for the holidays at work. (p) and I had a great time decorating there too with our Christmas music. Best of all is the Christmas holiday shoes they have out. What ones shall we wear and where is the question.

Now to make some christmas cookies the peppermint ones.

Catch Up

Were has the time gone. Lots have happened in just a short few weeks. Andrew saw Dr. A and had gained weight and grew. He is finally on the 5Th percent tile and on cloud nine over it. Josh is well Josh and you have to love the trash near us. Hopefully Josh will learn a lesson(but we will just have to wait and see). Samuel is loving school and is coming up with something new creative ideas.

I have been very busy with work and the boys. It has been crazy in baby land. I have been trying hard to work out everyday which was hard because I was very sick. But it is starting to pay off because I can notice that my face is slimmer.

Oh yes and the first snow came and has ever since. The best part came when I was in my way to work and 3 miles into the12 mile drive the windshield wiper went flying of the car (driver side of course). I drove the rest of the way cursing out Chris. But after work I went and had someone put one on that new what he was doing.

I have only 2 more days of work before I am off for a week and will enjoy Thanksgiving with the family.
